For events of up to 100 people, rental of the Waikīkī Aquarium is $2,000. This fee includes the facility rental, admission, security staff, 18 tables and 100 chairs. For events of over 100 people, there is an additional admission fee of $8 per person. There is no charge for children 4 years of age and younger. In order to confirm your reservation, a payment of $2,000 is required. Any balance due on the rental must be paid upon completion of the function.
Rental of the Waikīkī Aquarium is a Friends of the Waikīkī Aquarium benefit. If not already a member, a $65 minimum membership sign-up will entitle the renter and their family to a full year of benefits. Please click here to download the Facility Rental Membership Application.
The responsibility of the Aquarium staff on duty is to provide security to the Aquarium, prevent damage or injury to the exhibits, grounds, and animals. They also provide direction and help answer questions, monitor parking, control lighting, prevent unauthorized persons from entering the facility during the function, monitor noise levels of the music and work with the renter and guests to provide a positive experience. The security staff fee is included in the $2,000 rental fee, which covers the rental for the first 100 guests.
An additional security staffing fee of $100 is applicable in each of the following cases:
If a function goes beyond 10:30 p.m., the renter will be assessed an overtime fee of $5 per minute, and an additional fee of $150 for the security staff. The overtime fees are due with the balance of the rental payment at the conclusion of the event.

Rental of additional tables and chairs may be arranged through the Events & Membership office. Tables (6′ x 30″) are rented for $9 each. Folding, padded chairs are rented for $2 each. The renter is required to provide tablecloths for all tables rented from the Aquarium. The renter is also required to set-up and break-down all tables and chairs.
Tents/Canopies: Arrangements for tents/canopies ordered through the Events & Membership office must be made at least one month prior to the scheduled function, and payment is due at the time the order is placed. No refunds are given on tent/canopy rentals. Tent/canopy costs vary according to size. Please contact us for a quote.
Sound System: The renter may bring in outside sound system equipment without an additional fee. If requested, the Aquarium sound system equipment is available for a rental fee of $500 which includes an operator who sets-up, breaks down and operates the equipment during the event. The sound system includes: 2 speakers, 2 microphones, 2 microphone stands, a mixer and a CD player.
