HONOLULU, HI (April 29, 2013 ) – “Seal-a-brate” your son’s or daughter’s next birthday amongst the marine animals at the Waikiki Aquarium! The Aquarium recently launched its first-ever birthday party packages for keiki ages 3 to 11, combining an open-air setting with entertaining and educational activities. Offered on Saturdays and Sundays, the packages include:

Seahorse Party

  • Admission to the Aquarium
  • Keepsake name badges and lanyards for guests
  • Personalized birthday sign on the Monk Seal deck
  • Audio wand for each guest
  • A thematically, digitally enhanced, framed 4” by 6” group photo
  • A special activity on the lawn for the kids
  • One reserved parking stall in the Aquarium parking lot

Seadragon Party

All of the above, plus:

  • A small goodie bag for each child 3-11 years of age
  • Lunch by Taste of the Wild Catering
  • Half Sheet of Cake with Marine Animal Image and Ice Cream Cups
  • Punch and water

 

The parties take place on the gated lawn fronting the Aquarium. Guests enjoy access to all Aquarium galleries including the Edge of the Reef exhibit, a 7,500-gallon outdoor facility that recreates a living Hawaiian shoreline, and the Hawaiian Monk Seal habitat, where kids can learn about one of the world’s most endangered species.

Party packages are offered from 9:30a to 12 noon or 12:30 to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays only, pending availability. The Seahorse Party is priced at $300 for the first 20 guests. The Seadragon Party is priced at $500 for the first 20 guests. Additional per person fees are offered up to the maximum capacity of 30 people. The party host must be a Waikiki Aquarium member.
