Waimea Valley Stream Clean-up

Waimea Valley Stream Clean-up with Waikiki Aquarium

Saturday, May 20, 2017
9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Waimea Valley Stream

To help ensure a clean and steady flow of water to the ocean, clearing Waimea Valley’s streambeds is critical, yet strenuous work. Keeping the Valley’s three streams – Kamananui, Elehāhā, and Kaiwikoele – clear of debris and invasive growth prevents flooding and ensures year-round health of Waimea’s native ecosystems. Duties may included pulling invasive plants and/or cleaning up trash and storm debris.

This service project was for ages 18 and up or 16 and up with a parent in attendance.
