An Evening with Monk Seals

Saturday, September 23rd, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Pack a picnic basket and join NOAA Fisheries, the Waikīkī Aquarium, Lanikai Brewing Company, and our monk seal ‘ohana for a sunset dinner by the sea. Guests will enjoy live music from Kamuela Kahoano, the debut of a monk seal-inspired local craft beer, a series of short films featuring incredible footage of Hawai’i’s native seal, and a panel of experts talking story about the ins and outs of Hawaiian Monk Seal conservation. You can also tour the Waikīkī Aquarium’s exhibits including visiting their resident seal. This is a great opportunity to relax with friends and dive into the world of monk seals and mingle with the various people doing their part to save them.

Two drink tickets will be included free with adult admission to sample Lanikai Brewing Company’s newest creation. The first of their endangered brew series will raise funds to support the local non-profit group, Hawaii Marine Animal Response.

Guests should bring their own blankets or stadium chairs (no lawn chairs) and a picnic dinner to enjoy while watching the sunset from the Aquarium’s beachfront lawn. No outside beverages permitted.
