Did you know that there are more than 500 species of fish that change sex throughout their lives? We can look into nature to learn more about gender diversity. On March 30th, we celebrate #InternationalTransgenderDayOfVisibility. Founded in 2009, it honors the achievements, courage, and resiliency of transgender individuals and communities. The Waikīkī Aquarium has partnered with the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa LGBTQ+ Center to produce this special educational video that celebrates the importance of gender diversity within human and marine life. 🐠
