What can you expect?
Wearing face masks is advised but not compulsory in the Waikiki Aquarium. Foot-activated hand sanitizers are positioned throughout the facility. Guests are reminded via signage to keep a six-foot distance between individual visitors or different groups.
Exhibits and all public spaces are disinfected frequently. Guests are encouraged to follow signage indicating the one-way route through the galleries. Anyone not feeling well should reschedule their visit by calling (808)923-9741 .
No food or drink items are allowed in the galleries. The Hawaiian Monk Seal Habitat is temporarily closed. We’ve removed some exhibits to make more space.
Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Our facility is smoke-free. Usage of tobacco, including electronic cigarettes, on-site is prohibited. Comfort therapy animals and pets are not allowed. A Service Animal is allowed under specific direction of the admission desk staff.

  • For guests who do not come prepared, face masks may be purchased at the Aquarium Gift Shop.
  • Clear acrylic barriers are now in place at the Front Desk and Gift Shop to minimize the potential spread of virus among guests, staff and volunteers.
