Sea Grant Lecture Series



Waikiki Aquarium Hosts Lecture Series presented by the University of Hawaii Sea Grant College Program

Throughout May, the Waikiki Aquarium will host members of the University of Hawaii Sea Grant College Program to discuss ocean-related issues throughout the Pacific including climate change and rising sea levels. The lectures focus on the effects these issues have on our environment and what steps are being taken to address these issues.

Upcoming lectures will include:

  • May 5: Building Resilience to Coastal Hazards and Climate Change in Hawai‘i with Dr. Brad Romine
  • May 12: Sustainability and Resilience in the Ala Wai Watershed with Matt Gonser
  • May 19: Waikiki Beach Management and Planning with Dolan Eversole
  • May 26: King Tides: Citizen Science Project Documenting High Tide Events with Matt Gonser and Maya Walton
